Special mention for a project by Blouin Orzes Architects that is both sober and remarkable. With its grand, simple volume mea- surement, this multifunctional room with bright yellow walls located in Kuujjuarapik, offers an easily identifiable central location dedicated to Inuit culture. With the look of a grand house, it integrates perfectly well with the village, offering a large unifying porch. And, on the inside, the room’s variable geometry is at the service of living art and the oral tradition, whether for shows, par- ties or traditional games. This project, created hand in hand with the population, finds the delicate balance between the equipment’s sophistication and the rugged Nordic landscapes.
