China Design in North American Eyes
A new way to increase and extend the visibility of Chinese design by involving Chinese designers, promoters and companies in a competition.
Following a collaboration agreement between the Asia Pacific Design Center – APDC and the PID Agency, a new international competition has emerged, and a first edition was held in 2019.
Participants: Designers, promoters, and companies from China are invited to present themselves by submitting design and architecture projects which they have carried out in different sectors of activities.
Finalists will have visibility in a dedicated space at the Montreal International Design Show, from May 28th to 30th, 2020, where thousands of visitors will discover projects and Chinese design during the 3 days of the exhibition.
A jury composed of 4 people from diverse backgrounds: A representative of the design and architecture industry, a media, an artist and a university professor will be invited, following the exhibition, to choose the Top 1 from the finalist companies.
After exposing the projects at the Montreal International Design Show, the result of the competition will be revealed in the Autumn-Winter edition of the prestigious international Magazine INTÉRIEURS. Companies will be featured in 1/3 or a full page for Top 1.
INTÉRIEURS Magazine will be launched at the APDC Awards in November.
All Chinese companies participating in this contest:
– Will be recognized as finalists and receive a stamp to recognize their participation in this contest;
– Will benefit from visibility at the Montreal International Design Show;
– Will be conveyed in INTÉRIEURS Magazine.
